I actually had to leave our office at lunchtime so I could warm up at Panera. I brought back coffee with me to keep me warm for the next couple of hours until I’m off work. This is going to be a long winter, but it still beats inspecting bridges with snow on the ground... so.. ¯\_()_/¯

im boycotting the coffee at work (its pretty crap.. but really its colatteral damage from my boycotting the work cantine for their casual butchering of sausage rolls)
those savages are incapable of serving a sausage roll that isnt uncooked or charcoaled (i mean... fuck me... its not rocket salad)
(edit... i realize this has precious little to do with your post.... coffee set me off)

These are amazing. You don’t sweat or feel like you have too much clothing on.

Our bridge group just shut down inspection operations for the winter.
The corps asked us to do a levee inspection in December a few years ago. It snowed 2" the day before the team arrived. One of the engineers thought it would be fine until he stepped off the crown onto the side slope and almost slid into the river. The inspection was immediately cancelled.
